About & What to do
This Natural World Heritage is made up of a third of the total cetacean species in the world; the only living coral reef of the Eastern Pacific coast, which goes from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego and with the only underwater waterfalls of sand on the planet.
In Cabo Pulmo there are around 17 solitary beaches, almost without human traces, since its total population is 200 inhabitants. It is important to take into account that you will not find any tourist development or high-end service. There are no large hotels, just a couple of accommodations in private houses and bungalows built with palm and adobe. Even electricity is provided by solar panels.
In Cabo Pulmo there are service providers to carry out some of the activities allowed in the water.
Diving is the most requested, since the park is part of the Sea of Cortez, baptized by the French explorer and researcher Jacques-Yves Cousteau as "the largest aquarium in the world."
However, you can also snorkel, kayak or swim with sea lions.
On land, it is worth taking a bike tour of Coyote Mountain. This massif is a natural barrier between the desert and the sea.
In the gaps, cacti, mesquite, scrub and vegetation that grows with the direction given by the wind and where the Tropic of Cancer crosses are observed.
